Scarves, scarves, scarves and more scarves.

Scarves are my favourite accessories. I have loads of them and love to throw one on when I leave the house. Winter or summer it doesn't matter, I just love them. I feel naked if I don't have one on and there is a certain sense of security and warmth that a scarf can provide. They are also very stylish. If I have on a patterned top I choose a plain scarf to tone it down, and if I have a plain top I like to brighten it up with a patterned scarf. There are so many ways to tie and drape them, which is so much fun. My thick pashminas are great in winter for warmth and style. In summer I go for a light weight flimsy scarf, draping it loosely or hanging it over one shoulder. Most of my scarves are long but some are more like shawls, being triangular. My daughter in recent trips brought me back some scarves from Cambodia, which are just gorgeous. The last one that she gave me was from Durnstein in Austria. She brought it back to the ship when I was unwell and it cheered me up greatly. It was a print by Klimt, 'the kiss', who is one of my favourite artists. Gold and glamorous.  I wore it to the Captain's dinner on the ship.  All of my scarves are great and I would like to share some of my favourites with you...
