What's in my Handbag.

My handbag comes everywhere with me and I like to be prepared.I carry around way too much stuff with me but old habits are hard to break. I would like to share with you all my bits and pieces that accompany me on my day to day routine.

This is what I find most essential.

Tissues: you never know when you might need them. Great for cleaning up messes, a runny nose, to dry your hands, or a substitute for toilet paper. I don't leave home without them. I also leave a packet in the glove box in the car as an emergency supply with some wet ones.

Pill container: bought in the Netherlands at the tulip farm to replace a boring plastic one that I had. It is great to keep my spare pills and panadol in. Also lovely to look at and use. It is invaluable to me. I feel safer and well prepared with this item. It is always with me if I stay overnight at a friends place. So handy. I keep it in a purple knitted purse that I made myself. I keep my portable phone charger in another pink purse that I also made. They protect the items from scratches.

My mobile phone: this comes with me when I leave the house and has a protective case that I bought for it at the opportunity shop. It is attached to a lanyard, in case I want to put it around my neck for easy access.

My purse: Fake black Chanel but lovely all the same. It is used to hold my cash in and my bank cards and supermarket cards.

Orange makeup bag: I bought this recently in Hong Kong for a few dollars and I love it. Filled with goodies that could come in handy, such as, a nail file, tooth floss, real Chanel travel perfume spray (simply divine), eye spray for dry eyes (great for the plane or if you use your screen too much - So soothing), eye cream for under the eyes and a liquid under eye roller (this always perks me up and I don't feel so tired), Coloured lip gloss (so handy for a touch up), lovely swarovski mirror compact (handy for applying lipstick or makeup) and a small gold compact with face powder inside (great for touch ups).

Howard's storage carry bag with clip: this bag is so handy if I buy a few items when out. It holds a lot and is very strong. It means that I do not have to use plastic bags when I buy something and this alone makes me feel better. The bag folds up into a tiny outer bag for storage in your purse and hardly takes up any room. A great investment.

Hand sanitiser is an absolute must. This hangs off the outside of my bag by a small clip attached to it. I use it all the time. Great after using toilets and touching door handles and stair rails. Keeps germs at bay.

Small Chinese silk purse with key ring attachment: Inside I keep my supermarket trolley tokens so I can always get a trolley if I don't have any coins. Love them.

Small rubbery blue coin purse for all my extra change: so handy, and you do not need to get your purse out and unzip it. Also, purse does not bulge with too much extra change.

Red metal card case: inside this case I keep all the cards from the coffee shops that I go to and also cards from Ikea and Noodle Box. After 6-10 buys you get one free depending on the card.

Small cloth flower purse in blue: I keep a small ipad screen pointer and a USB stick, just in case I need to use the ipad when away.

Lipstick holder with lipstick inside: great for use after lunch when out.

A comb: that I had to buy in the Netherlands as I had not packed mine. This is more handy to store in a handbag, as a brush is too big and bulky.

Another purse with library cards, drivers license, health cards, medi-care and chemist cards. All the important ones.

Peppermints are always good to carry around. Good if you get a bit hungry when out and to freshen the breath.

Lastly I keep a pen and some paper (a notebook) to jot down anything that I need too.

So that is what is in my bag. Lots of stuff. I have a handbag organiser (small inner bag) that lines my handbag and can just be removed with all the contents inside and placed into the next hand bag. These make great gifts and are so handy.

In a future blog that I will do on handbags I will show you a picture. Happy bag shopping.
