Off To Dubai.

Another early morning begins at 0500. We wearily climb out of bed and throw our clothes on. We had showered late the previous evening and neither of us had a good night's sleep. Night sweats and party goers returning to the hotel early in the morning. Our only consolation was that we could sleep on the plane. Fortunately for us we had hired a car to take us to the airport. The dark quiet stillness of an Easter morning in Hong Kong was therapeutic and we sat in silence staring out the window. It was our farewell to Hong Kong. On arrival we glided through the process and onto the plane. The trip was fabulous as Air Emirates is an exceptional airline. The service and food were excellent with a whole array of movies and entertainment to watch. I opted for Allied and The Light Between Oceans. I cried my way through both of them. Lunch was chicken in a tomato sauce with mushroom pasta and a side of broccoli. Raspberry dessert followed by a cup of green tea. -absolutely delicious. The eight hours went very quickly and comfortably till we arrived in Dubai. The pilot put the plane down effortlessly pulling it up quickly and smoothly. A very good landing. Dubai airport is huge and crazy. An eclectic mix of humanity . It is absolutely fascinating. We took a ten minute train ride to get to our transit lounge ready for our flight to Hamburg. We had an hour to look around and use the toilets with the showers above them. We lounged in the reclining chairs that were everywhere, which helped us to stretch out and relax for a while. It was amazing to watch the window cleaners abseiling down the curved glass that made up the exterior walls. Finally we were boarded and off to our final destination-GERMANY.
