My Top Ten Movies.

Here is a List of My Top Ten Favourite Movies.

Under the Tuscan Sun.
This is my all time favourite. I love Dianne Lane who does an excellent job portraying a newly divorced woman who ends up buying a villa in Tuscany when she holidays there. What unfolds is a life changing adventure for her. Watch and enjoy. You will fall in love with this movie.

Midnight In Paris.
What an amazing movie. Travelling back in time to meet the old masters is absolutely fascinating and takes you right there. Owen Wilson and Rachel McAdams are funny and team well together as actors.

Out of Africa.
Meryl Streep is my all time favourite actor so consequently I like most of the movies that she stars in. This one is no exception. Set in Africa around 1914 it tells the true story of Karen Blixen who left Denmark to follow her husband to Africa to run a coffee plantation. What unfolds is a true adventure and the scenery is magnificent. A must see.

The English Patient.
Kristin Scott Thomas is another of my all time favourite actors. The English Patient was written by Michael Ondaatje and is a wonderful story made into a wonderful movie. Set in the  Sahara and Cairo to Tuscany it tells of love and betrayal. Juliette Binoche does so well as supporting actress. This is a captivating movie.

The Girl with the Pearl Earring. This period movie set in the Netherlands in the 17th century tells the story of Griet who goes to work as a maid in the house of the famous master painter Johannes Vermeer. I have read the book and blogged about it previously.

Sex and  the City.
Funny, light and bubbly. Also sad at times this tells the tale of four friends living in New York city. Their highs and lows are explored along with their wardrobe and sex lives. A fun captivating movie.

You've Got Mail.
Warm and fuzzy describes this movie. Areal chick flick to melt anyone's heart. About a young woman running a small book shop who talks on line with a man who turns out to be her business rival. Romantic and magic.

When Harry Met Sally. This movie is funny although the main characters do tend to drive you a bit nuts. Meg Ryan and Billy Crystal team together to make this movie memorable. The pair travel  by car together from Chicago to New York rubbing each other up the wrong way. Years later they meet again and love begins to blossom?

Random Hearts. Terrifying in its intensity this movie will keep you guessing and on the edge of your seat. It stays with you long after it has finished. Two people are brought together through tragic circumstances. One is an internal affairs sergeant and the other a congress woman who find themselves in an unexpected mystery. Loads of tension and a very good thriller.
