Our Christmas Day.

Wake up early. Throw on the dressing gown and meet in the lounge for present opening. Grab a cup of tea first to wake us up a bit. It is an exciting time and we are rearing to go. My daughter goes first as she has the bulk of the presents . Then it is our turn and last but not least Oscar the cat who never misses out. Christmas wrapping paper is ripped off to reveal lots of goodies. The cat immediately jumps in the middle of it and skids around the floor. He is in heaven and his present is still to come. We eat our croissants as we open the presents and when all is over we shower and dress for the day. I get some great things including three DVD's to watch over the Christmas break. A bright Indian top with bling relief around the neck. A water colour paintbrush that holds the water in it's handle. A Beatrix Potter ceramic mouse sitting on a thimble. A tote bag from Society 6 with a photo on it of Bremen in Germany and a cushion  also with a photo of Bremen on it. They look great and I am truly impressed. A nice pastel scarf ends my loot.

It has been fun. Oscar the cat gets two fluffy toy mice, some gourmet cat tins of food and party mix dry treats. He loves it all and spends the day asleep with a huge tummy. Life is bliss.

Time for lunch and we share a large seafood salad with prawns and lobster on top of lettuce mix with spinach and rocket and salad dressing. We add mango , avocado, and snow peas before adding the prawns. Delicious. Pink champagne tops this off nicely. For dessert we opt for trifle and cream which finishes the meal nicely.

Time to chill out on the couch and watch a movie. We choose Dunkirk and watch the war unfold.

Now time for dinner which is stuffed turkey roll with roast potatoes, pumpkin, and carrots with gravy and peas. All topped off with trifle. So full. It has been a relaxing day with lots of eating. We retire exhausted looking forward to left overs the next day. It has been a happy Christmas.
